Traversing gear reducer 15/256 for a heading machine AM-50

Reducer 15/256 with a power of 15kW with a nominal ratio 256 is a modernized reducer designed for traversing gear of a heading machine AM-50. It is a four-stage gear reducer with a cast steel hull, whose last stage is constituted byan epicyclic (planetary) gear. Works with an engine equipped with a brake. A tooth coupling is incorporated in the epicyclic gear, allowing the decoupling of the epicyclic gear from the other gears, which makes it possible to roll the heading machine using external force. Two identical reducers are mounted in the heading machine.
